The Caribbean Water and Sewerage Association Inc. (CAWASA Inc) is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Executive Director.  CAWASA Inc. is a Caribbean institution which promotes the sustainable growth and development of Caribbean Water and Sewerage Utilities through training, networking, research, certification and institutional support.

Core Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain a productive relationship with local, regional and international institutions.
• Create and maintain good relationship with the key staff of Member Utilities
• Manage the process of identifying feasible projects and implementing them
• Prepare project proposals for submission to funding agencies
• Prepare business plans and reports for Board’s consideration
• Implement strategies and manage the organization to achieve the targets set
• Keep in touch with the challenges and issues faced by member utilities and activate appropriate responses

Qualifications and Experience:

• Post-graduate qualifications in Management, with, ideally, a first degree in some aspect of water supply and waste water management
• At least seven (7) years minimum experience at a senior executive capacity in an engineering oriented organization or a consulting environment
• Work experience in Caribbean countries
• Excellent written and communication skills including presentation and reporting skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Outstanding leadership, networking  and strategic management skills
• A high degree of computer literacy skills in a range of business application software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, QuickBooks
• Previous experience in the operations of a water utility will be an asset
