Applications are invited to fill the above named position at WASCO’s main office at L’Anse Road, Castries.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BSc. in Civil/ Environmental Engineering/ Wastewater Engineering
Preferred Additional Qualification:
- MSc. in Wastewater/ Environmental/ Water Engineering
Essential Experience:
- At least 5 years work or project experience with wastewater collection and treatment and disposal required;
- Computer Literacy
- Project management skills
- Environmental impact assessments
- Ability to decide on the most appropriate technology
Preferred Additional Experience:

- Experience in operations management of Business Administration
- Seven years experience in wastewater operation, maintenance and construction or related work
- At least 3 years experience in a supervisory position

- Knowledge of new technologies within the industry
- Ability to plan, direct, control, co-ordinate and review works of subordinates
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously

Main Duties:

- Provide leadership and be responsible for the collection, treatment and satisfactory disposal of wastewater;
- Planning, design, construction and inspection of wastewater systems;
- Take responsibility for the operation and maintenance of all wastewater facilities and infrastructure;
- Ability to work efficiently with various wastewater engineering consultants, including strategies, invoicing and billing schemes;
- Strong understanding of industrial and domestic wastewater;
- Participate in environmental wastewater system surveys and studies, interpret findings and report on results;
- Prepare technical operations, quarterly and annual reports as required.
